I'm available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings and evenings for sessions. I generally aim to shoot in the early golden hours during each of those time frames so I can get the best lighting for your session - nothing beats that delightful sunshine.
Travel Fees of $2 per mile will applied if your session is outside of Bloomington, Indiana. Because I have young children, it's hard for me to be away for extended periods of time - for this reason I can only travel to surrounding cities of Bloomington for this additional fee.
There are a couple of things to note here. Sometimes people want just a handful of images and don't need an entire gallery for social media or to display in their home. Sometimes (if you're a parent), you know that children have a difficult time doing one thing for more than 15 minutes. A session with me includes lots of movement so that we stay engaged and more importantly have fun - I assure you that SO MUCH much magic can happen in such a short period of time (just trust me)!
I like to keep sessions very simple but I will always bring a variety of blanket options in order to switch up poses. For newborn and milestone sessions I will provide all of the necessary wraps, baskets, headbands, etc. to keep things simple for the parents. I'm always happy to incorporate heirlooms or sentimental objects if it is important to capturing a specific moment for your session!
My absolute FAVORITE places to shoot are the ones that are important or significant to you. As a townie and former IU alumni, I know many urban or rural areas that we can go to take your photographs if you are in need of suggestions. I always love having sessions at local parks, downtown Bloomington, and central campus!
I want to maintain all of your natural qualities and would never want to remove anything that belongs uniquely to you through retouching. For this reason I only use digital retouching in your photos to remove minor blemishes or objects that are out of place - this is done to ensure there is nothing distracting in your images so that the emphasis stays on what is most important - you.
Invoices will be sent to book your session. Payments are made via Iris-Works.
In the past I would send sneak peeks to clients within a week but now that I have a big family of little girls it's hard to sit down within a set time frame and send off a small set of sneaks! It's easiest for me to sit down and edit the entire gallery entirely so I can refer back and make adjustments to pictures once they're all done so it's consistent. By doing this I'm more efficient with my time and you actually receive your gallery quicker!
Final delivery turn around times may vary depending on the season (spring and fall are my busiest seasons) and the complexity of the session. A very small amount of my time is actually spent capturing those sweet moments for you and the rest of my time is spent going through all of the images and editing them so that the color and lighting are JUST right for you! All of the magic happens behind the scenes so that when you open up your gallery you are able to experience THE BEST surprise.
If you would like for your session to be delivered within a week it's an additional $50 and if you would like them delivered within 48 hours it's an additional $100. I have three little girls to chase around so it's tricky to get things to happen quickly unless I know in advance and can plan ahead but I'm MORE than happy to help if needed!
All galleries will be delivered to you digitally via email through Pixieset to download, share, print, and distribute the images as many times as you would like. There is also an option to have a crystal flash drive and keepsake box containing your image files that can mailed to you at an additional $50.
